5. The most cozy place in all the world is snuggled up next to Peck in bed :) Or curled up in either the giant red bean bag or the blue bean bag like chair... hehe


6. Something new that I tried recently was oh man, what haven't I tried recently! Today I made a drawer liner, yesterday I made a headband, and I've been trying new recipes for dinner every night this week. Actually, come to think of it, I try a new recipe most nights... I am not one for routine!

7. This weekend I would like to relax.... and maybe go out and do something fun.

Hello. I love Fill in the blanks from the little things we do. It's a fun little exercise for a Friday afternoon when you've been coding all day and going a little crazy in the head from looking at too many things that look like

1. My favorite color is a toss up between yellow and coral.

2. My home decor color palette includes some red for the lounge room, some yellow for the kitchen and a some greens and pastels in the bedroom.. I'm working on being more consistent with colour palette when I choose things too buy! I wish I had white walls, but I can't do much because we are renting......

3. Other people always tell me I look good in the color anything bright. But not too bright... I don't know, has to be the right tone..

4. The color I detest is is baby pink. mostly. And I'm not much into brown either.

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be bright colour! Yay... and a lot of greys too. I went through a stage of wanting everything grey. Now I am trying to add colour into it and I'm doing pretty well! I have pants in green, yellow and blue (I still need some red!) and tops in a few different colours, definitely need more still! Would love to get a bright coat for this winter :)

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is fluro and pastel I think. I am pale and both wash me out too much... I can do pastel on the bottom, but not the top....

7. The color of my favorite dress is ummmmm... I don't really have a favourite dress :( I want to buy more pretty dresses because I mostly live in pants during the week and on the weekends skirts. But I love dresses, I just struggle with the length because I am pretty tall and most clothes I find are made for shorter girls....

1. A nervous habit I have is I get a flushed chest area! Whenever I give a presentation I always wear a high necked top so it doesn't show...

2. Something that makes me sad is people who don't understand/tolerate people with down syndrome or any other difficulty

3. Today I am thankful for Sabbath! Yes. I can have a break from trying to finish off my exhibition work.

4. My favorite room in my house is the office. It's got all sorts of fun things, but mainly the computer. But even more so that I just stuck up all our photos from our US trip.

5. I can't stand insects.... ew. Especially in the house.

6. If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would save it for our upcoming trip!

7. The last person I hung out with was Mr Peck, my crazy husband who puts up with my awful moods.

1. When I was a kid I wanted to be a shop keeper, teacher, nurse, farmer, hairdresser when I grew up. 
2. As an adult, my dream job would be a shop owner, stylist of all things (clothes, interior, shoots), apartment stager. 
3. When I was younger I wanted to be just like my sister. 
4. The childhood Halloween costume that I remember most was when I was  (I've never done Halloween.. No done here is Australia much.. and if it was, I wouldn't do it anyway... ... .. . .I'm not much for silly festive days .. or ones that are pagan in origin. 
5. My favourite childhood toy was the sandpit and cubby house.. Making mud 'ice chocolate' and mud pies was the best :)
6. The time I got into the biggest amount of trouble when I was a kid was when my brother and I were playing with a tennis ball inside (tiles.. who can resist a good indoor game of handball?!) and we broke my dad's really expensive glass measuring flask thing... we were probably 15ish haha.. oops.
7. I get daily inspiration from pinterest, blogs, my husband, Real Living magazine.. life.

Fill in the Blank Friday

Well, it's been too long since I filled in the blanks so here there are! Happy Friday :)

1. The best thing I did all week was make Mr Peck delicious cupcakes and baked brie filled damper to enjoy in a little fortress for our 2 year anniversary!

2. This amazingly beautiful and hot weather make me super happy. 

3. Pets are so fun! I want one of every kind please!

4. Mr Peck is the best thing about my life. 

5. With the cooler [warmer here!] weather I am looking forward to spending more time outside and being able to wear shorts, and not have to find a cardigan/jacket that matches my outfit. Plus I can finally wear the summer clothes I bought while in USA!

6. Something that's on my "wish list" right now is a rug for our lounge room... and bookshelves all over the house.

7. This weekend I am going to knit.... and knit some more!

I finalllllllllly got internet at home which means I can finalllllly blog again! I can't say I've missed the internet terribly. I have been checking my emails at college and trying to keep up with the outside world but college somehow blocks me from posting, so that's why you haven't seen me.

I am pretty excited to say that this will be my last semester of college. I'm doing 3 subjects - Advanced ceramics, Studio & Exhibition (Yay! I get to exhibit at the end of the year!) and christian studies. I might do a separate post about the work I'm doing for my exhibition and you can let me know what you guys think!

So, without further ado, here is this weeks blanks from the little things we do, I'm pretty excited about answering them...

dang it... it's rotated again!! Whyyyy!? But this is my yellow cardigan again :)

1. One of life's most simple pleasures is wrapping your arms around a warm husband when you get in bed all cold hehe... yeah, I've experienced that a lot lately. I like it when Mr Peck warms up the bed for me!

2. Telemarketers make me want to punch someone.

3. I like my yellow cardigan because it makes every day seem happier and closer to summer!

4. Cantankerous is a funny word.

5. If I had to choose one beauty product to use for the rest of eternity it would be lipcream. I honestly can't live without it! Did you know the lips are the only part of the body that doesn't have oil glands. which means you need a little something to keep them moisterised!

6. I'm happy that today was such a beautiful day, I have an amazing husband, it's almost spring and I have a real proper clothesline that gets sun and my clothes dry!


7. I would never live somewhere where it is cold all the time.. i could not deal with it!

Yay, Fill in the Blanks! Haven't done this for ages, so here we go. The Theme is Birthdays coz it's Lauren's Birthday today! Happy Birthday!!!!!

1. My most favorite birthday was all of the ones when I was little and mum used to make super cool cakes in all different shapes and themes. My favourite one was a clock with a mouse - that hickory dickory dock clock thingy... was awesome.. Also, this year Mr Peck made me a little party for just us two with a pinata, pin the tail on the donkey, an ice cream cake and lots of little gifts! He's the best :)

2. My worst birthday was not really existent. I don't remember a bad one... there were ones where nothing special happened and no one really told me happy birthday but it's kinda sad on the day and then you get over it! My 21st was a bit of a let down. I had a party .. but when it came to my speech I got a little shy and never even said thanks to my parents or anything like that... I am not good at speeches!

3. My favorite birthday memory is not really a memory, just the fact that when I was little my birthdays always felt so special! Even if no one was coming over for a party I always wore a pretty dress and did my hair (including a special clip or bow) and we had the cake and party food and had pictures and a few presents... :) 

4. The best birthday present I've ever received was ... there are so many great ones from my parents (who are waaaay to generous) to even list! Things like a camera, GHD, clothes & bags.... I can't even remember what was a birthday present haha.. I remember that if I wanted something big mum would(sometimes) buy and say this is your birthday present for this year :) 

5. The best birthday present I've ever given was I surprised Mr Peck last year with a longboard (a skate board) that he had been wanting for ages! I got his friends to input money ... but I didn't know exactly which one he wanted to I had to tell him so he could pick it. And this year, I got all his friends to write some notes or buy little gifts and was going to put them in envelopes for him to open one a day the week leading up to his birthday, but people didn't get back to me quick enough... but it still kind of worked and he liked it :)

6. Birthdays are fun.... but not my favourite day of each year. As I get older, the less they mean. I think I will get more into birthdays when we have kids because I want to be able to make my kids feel as special as my mum did for us!

7. My favorite age so far has been 23 ... right now. I think I am finally mature enough to know what I want and confident enough to get it. I am still a little shy about some things but I am getting better and I love being young enough and old enough at the same time :)

The last movie I saw was True Grit.  I enjoyed it all except for the end part, from where she gets bit by a snake (she doesn't really, in case you haven't seen it... *shifty eyes*)  It seemed like the ending was rushed, and the woman is no where near as amazing as the girl.. and he (if you haven't seen it close your eyes) shot the horse :(

2. I want to go to America already!

3. Surprises are super fun and enjoyable! Especially the ones you give others :)

4. The best accessory is a scarf or a belt

5. My favorite warm drink is  hot chocolate or chai tea.

6. My favorite cold drink is depends on what mood I'm in. I love juice. If I feel car sick or sick from not eating breakfast, orange juice for shizz, always makes me feel better (especially Daily Juice, that's pretty much the only good one apart from fresh of course), Fresh apple juice is mmmm, and Almdudler, I haven't had that for aaages :(

1. This weekend I'm catching up on sleep, going shopping with my bro, editing photos  and sleeping

2. My last vacation was ... this is hard because we often go on little trips all over the place. Our last official, overseas holiday was our honeymoon to NZ in 09. Since then we have been to QLD, TAS, VIC and multiple places around NSW.

3. My next vacation will be on the 22nd to the US of A! Excitement!!

4. My favorite way to relax is read a book, knit, watch a movie, do nothing! Like literally stare into space nothing hehe

5. When vacationing one should always take a book and have days where nothing is planned and have money to waste.

6. When vacationing one should never complain, take work, worry about money.

7. The best part about a vacation is escaping and not worrying about anything. Also, exploring and spending special time with Mr Peck and doing things we wouldn't normally.

1. I love Mr Peck because he is the best husband in the world! I couldn't ask for anything more in a husband. He is kind, thoughtful, helpful, loving, funny, great company and encouraging.

2. A time that mama knew best was all the time. Everything my mum says is right (mostly). She's one amazing woman hehe.

3. My first kiss went a little like this... I am struggling to remember to be honest. It was with a person I don't care about and have no idea where they are and I didn't really like them that much at the time either. I'm sure it would have been awkward and whatever.. But honestly I don't remember! That's crazy seeing it wasn't that long ago! I was 18.

4. My celebrity crush is Mark Wahlberg. And Mr Peck doesn't let me forget...

5. My splurge of choice is stationary/office things or house things. Clothes most of the time but I don't usually splurge, always go for sales...

6. My biggest accomplishment is finishing my degree, getting married and having a business.

7. My dance jam of choice is Danza Kuduro by Don Omar & Lucenzo... But I don't dance or club or anything like that. . just at home hehe
