Exposition

Hi!
Yes, It's really me.
I've been gone so long, it feels like I haven't gone anywhere.

You know the one thing I miss that I didn't realise I'd miss so much?
*Creating things!*
I miss making, doing, finding, mistakes.
I miss cooking, cleaning.
I miss home!

But, I am enjoying my time here and am so glad I've had this opportunity to meet Mr Peck's family and see where he grew up. And don't forget, eating all the amazing food he never stops talking about!

A list of my favourites:

Food
Platanos - I will defiantly miss them back home.

Place
Boca Chica, and the coastal areas

Experience
Walking through Los Quetzales and all the mud and seeing all the amazing little humming birds!

We're almost finished our time here, next stop: USA!

Happy New Year by the way! If I was in Australia, I would already be in 2012... But here, not quite yet!

Hola!

Hola from Panama!

Just a quick stop by to say hi! I'm still alive... sick, but still alive!
We have been having lots of interesting food (ooo, a duro [a hard, ice block type thing] just got delivered to me), getting lots of sleep, seeing lots of exciting things and most of all, speaking lots of Spanish (well, Peck mainly.. and me struggling along).

Having lots of fun!

Be Right Back...

Tonight was the big night of the exhibition.. and I didn't even take one photo :(
Sooooo much stress and craziness, right down to a small fire in the exhibition building... so glad it's over!

And now, I'm flying across the great big ocean.
I may post a few pictures now and then, but no promises.

Be back in February!

I was here.

I am home.
It's a little bit sad really! Coming home to cold weather makes it that much harder too...

I'm just editing some pictures, so thought I'd share a few from Chicago.. I didn't take that many pictures actually but I guess we were only in Chicago for 3 days so there wasn't time for much. I wish we had longer there. I really liked the city - very pretty.

I'll share some of NY when I've edited them...

NY

Hi!
Still alive.
Thanks for the suggestions from a few of you :)

Not much to report. Been busy visiting art galleries and museums and walking around a lot, catching the subway, shopping, walking some more, and eating a lot.

Some things I have realised about this place - cheap clothes and cheap food... and lots and lots of tourists.

I have to say I like Chicago a lot more than NY. Nothing terrible about NY, just a lot of people and noise and horn tooting hehe... But Chicago has some amazing architecture, feels a lot cleaner, the lakefront is very pretty and overall seems like a more livable city.

Also, I understand how all you American girls get away with having so many cool clothes - the clothes are cheap here compared to Australia! And the food is cheap too. Something you get here for $10 you would get for $15-20 in Aus. So.. it's interesting. And also means that I've bought quite a few clothes here :)

Another thing, I don't know if this is everywhere in USA or just here, but the shops are crazzzy big! Seriously unheard of to have a multilevel shop in Aus unless it's a department store, but here it seems very common!

Overall, I quite like the bits of USA that I've seen and would love to see more, especially different states and less touristy places.

Still no photos... :( Have to wait til I get back to edit them all!

Update

Well, I am alive and well and am in NY :)
I was hoping to be able to keep up with my 30 days of creativity but we have been doing soooooo much every day and have had absolutely no time at all! The spare moments have been spent trying to get sleep and adjust to USA time.

We started off in Chicago and were there for 3 days. We did a walking tour of the amazing architecture around the city and visited the Art Institute of Chicago all in one day while still jet lagged and super tired... Was a very hectic day but enjoyable.

Day 2 we had a free morning so Mr Peck and i went for a walk along the lakefront to Navy Pier and went for a feriswheel ride. Then went to visit some Andrew Lloyd wright Houses including the Robie house. Was very interesting! That night we went to the Signature room in the Hancock building which had an Amazing veiw!!!

Then today we went and saw a few more Wright houses and then hopped on the plane for the short trip to NY.

We just went to eat at Dos Caminos and once again came back Stuffffed!! Servings are so big here!

Sorry for not having photos, I haven't downloaded them yet and I am writing from my iPod! Will try and get some up for you soon.

Tomorrow we are doing a general tour on NY... Can't wait!
